在三维空间和时间尺度上探测材料的原子结构与性能,并理解它们之间的关系是材料物理研究的核心问题之一。然而,最先进的球差校正电子显微镜仍然只能获得材料原子结构的二维投影,无法探知缺陷、掺杂、无序等对材料性能起重要调控作用的局部结构特征;此外,基于静态观测的传统方法难以满足对材料动力学过程的研究需求,阻碍了对材料性能在超快时间尺度的研究和理论的发展。如何实现材料物性的多维度、高精度探测,仍是制约相关研究的关键共性问题。针对该问题,本课题组将计算成像学的前沿成果与先进电磁探针相结合,围绕电子、X射线、激光(波长由短到长)开展工作,具体研究方向包括:
1. 纳米功能材料的三维原子尺度新现象的探索
2. 开发高精度三维单原子分辨成像新方法
3. 基于相干衍射成像的高精度、低剂量成像方法
4. 基于飞秒激光的超快时间分辨非线性光学探测
